Tutorial Damian

- Went through the blog

- Issues mentioned with the original site

- Moods: Needs to be fun, vibrant, international

- Target of 20-25?

- Sites researched:

Berstein.com = using specific shapes = good

Yolk.com = new trend guiding the website through keyboard (emerging trend!)

Nike.com = use of click and drag

Thinkaboutit.com = use of space, traveling through different channels= similar to BBC project.

Jimherrington.com = big fonts and simple

www.lailm.com = for film college=similar to monopoly board/ map

- Mentioned about little world in a box = Pan’s labyrinth style and seizenmedia.com

- Theatre idea = Mind’s playground

Needs/ comments:

-       Fantastic idea of using different languages

-       Take 2 perspective / roots? (World / typographic)

-       How to find out what people are looking for? (Questionnaires?)

-       Try to make a way in which does not alienate people. Maybe simpler?

-       Using Epsom within the website. Snippets from real experience… here

-       How to be creative with brief?

-       Make it useful / interesting… the way we (as MA students) want it to be…

-       Idea of fantasy is good but also like the idea of using typography

-       Careful targeting 20-25. Maybe extend the age from 20 to 30.

BY NEXT GROUP MEETING: ideas of illustration and town, ways to make it interactive and simple. Interactivity (menu etc), ideas for both Typography and Fantasy ideas.
